Once thought to be Charlotte's future downtown, first came the mall, then business came as estates and subdivisions filled out the area. Today, it's the Uptown that tries to compete with SouthPark. When the tony Ruth Chris Steakhouse came shopping for real estate, it is no accident they settled on a SouthPark, P.F. Changs, The Palm, Restoration Hardware and Dean and DeLuca make SouthPark a day and nightime destination. Now the 4th largest business district in the state, SouthPark is a great place to work and live.
